This is a scenic coastal trail on a unique feature of the Cape Coast. Robberg is a peninsula with a variety of natural environments from coastal fynbos, staggering coastal cliffs, beaches and caves including Nelsons Cave which bears evidence of thousands of years of human and animal habitation.
While humans have come & gone hundreds of animals and birds still reside on the peninsula. Amongst the more numerous are the seals frolicking in the waves that gave Robberg (Seal Hill) it’s name. There are also over 100 species of birds, small antelope and of the elusive Cape Clawless Otter. Dolphins and sharks are often spotted in the ocean from the vantage of the sea cliffs.
GoVertical will guide you on a full day hike of the reserve, where you’ll discover many fascinating archaeological and geological features on the peninsula. The views from Robberg are spectacular, to the North East is Plettenberg Bay stretching for kilometres below the Tsitsikamma Mountains and to the South the coastal scenery unfolds towards Knysna. The diversity of environment and splendid vistas makes this trail one of the most varied and memorable on the Cape Coast.

A very professionally run outfit, so rare in the current climate. From enquiry, to booking and through to the actual experience, 5/5, our company members thoroughly enjoyed ourselves...everyone's still talking about it... well done guys, keep it up, and see you again one day.
I have travelled the world and used over 50 adventure companies, and i have never had a company keep 50% of my money because i cannot make the activity, especially with over 5 months notice.
People deserve to know that once you have paid this company whatever the circumstances, you will not be getting your money back. well maybe some if you argue with them.
Just finished the Drakensberg Grand Traverse with GoVertical. What a wonderful experience. Garth's passion and knowledge of the Drakensberg is legendary. Ill definitely see you again for a trek in the Garden Route.
Very experienced guides and looked after our every need while in the mountains. Highly recommended.
GoVertical really showed us a great time whilst exploring the Drakensberg and the Tsitsikamma Mountains. Thank you again for a wonderful time in South Africa
We spent days with the Govertical team exploring trails on the Garden Route. Fantastic guys. Thank you
