This tour combines two must-see destinations: Cape Point, the farthest southwestern point in Africa and Constantia, one of the oldest wine-producing regions in the Southern hemisphere.
We will start by driving to the beautiful Atlantic seaside suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay to see the Twelve Apostles mountains. We will then take the coastal road to the Hout Bay harbour for a visit to the resident Cape Fur Seals.
After Hout Bay, onto a scenic drive up Chapman’s Peak for one of the best views in the region. We will then travel into the Cape Point Nature Reserve to see the Cape of Good Hope, the furthest southwestern point in Africa.
We enter Cape Point National Park and enjoy its wonderful array of flowers from the Cape Floristic Kingdom, and if we are lucky some baboons, ostriches or antelope. Here we have time to hike up to the historic lighthouse or down to Cape of Good Hope to enjoy the spectacular views over the peninsula.
We head back on the eastern side of the peninsula towards Simon’s Town, where we visit the African Penguin colony on the beautiful Boulders Beach.
Finally, we visit the Constantia wine region for a wine tasting.
We have several stunning lunch options on this tour: A local seafood lunch, a picnic lunch, or gourmet dining on a wine farm. Lunch for clients account, but we will be happy to help with bookings.
